New SEN School, Northants

Chelveston Road School is a brand new school for pupils with learning needs and autism, catering for up to 145 pupils. It serves students right from Year 7 up to Years 12 and 13.

Armada were pleased to supply the complete ironmongery package for this much needed SEN provision in Northants.

Particular attention was paid to DDA Compliance and quality Stainless Steel furniture was used throughout with particular emphasis on durability and robustness.

Security was an important consideration, and Armada supplied a very complex masterkeyed suite of cylinders, some with classroom function, to suit the detailed access requirements across the site.

Of particular interest was the bathroom thumbturn lock which had a square security key release to the outside rather than the traditional slot release, thus reducing any opportunity for mis-use.

As usual, we delivered our comprehensive service package of door packing and supply to site call off.

22 Bishopsgate, The Market

22 Bishopsgate is likely the largest office building in the country, at 278M tall. Designed as a ‘vertical village’, the building contains a number of communal spaces including a glass climbing wall on the 25th floor, a ‘retreat’ on the 41st floor, and ‘the Market’ on the 2nd floor.

We were pleased to supply the complete package of ironmongery to the 20,000 square foot Market floor of this incredible project. This floor contains a wide range of coffee shops, bars, and food stalls for the convenience of the potential 12000 office workers in the building.

Following approval of ironmongery samples, we refinished the complete package of ironmongery to the chosen Bronze finish, before door packing and supplying to site call off. Working closely with the contractor enabled us to ensure the suitability of all items and a successful finished product.

Haddenham, Ely

Armada is pleased to be supplying doors and ironmongery to this ongoing residential development of 54 homes in Haddenham.

American Oak veneer doors have been used throughout, well complemented by stylish dual-finish lever handles and matching hardware.

All ironmongery and door deliveries have been carefully coordinated with plot by plot call-offs.

We maintain a proactive approach throughout these types of development projects, keeping in touch with the site to ensure that all deliveries of materials can be made in a timely manner and without causing delays to the building program.

The properties are well set out on this large attractive site, and the finished result will be an excellent addition to the town.

Downing Church, Cambridge

This major refurbishment in the heart of Cambridge transformed a historic church into a sustainable and environmentally friendly space.

A lot of care went into the finishes, not least the ironmongery package. Unlacquered Brass was specified to ensure the ironmongery ages gracefully and in accord with the beautiful building.

Armada was able to deliver on a complex range of products and support the main contractor Coulson Building throughout the process. We door-packed our ironmongery deliveries for ease of installation and were able to visit the site on several occasions throughout the work.

Bart’s Square, London

Armada was pleased to be involved in this outstanding mixed-use redevelopment in West Smithfield.

The design required a wide range of bespoke pull handles, mostly manufactured from solid brass.
A number of different styles and lengths were made to suit the different doors on the project, with careful attention to detail throughout.

The brass was left unlacquered so that it will naturally oxidize and darken with time and use.
The finished result, when combined with beautiful door designs and brass detailing, is stunning!
